Cliff Walzer, Neil Sullivan and Borek Hlousek focus their practice on creating beautiful smiles and restoring healthy function to the teeth and jaws. By embracing the team approach to patient care, each doctor combines his diagnostic and surgical skills with the talents of restorative dentists to provide the optimum care that patients deserve.

Of all the procedures they perform, the doctors have taken a special interest in the replacement of teeth utilizing dental implants. With recent technological advances, Drs. Walzer, Sullivan and Hlousek can obtain three-dimensional images of a patient’s jaw structure and plan the positioning of dental implants on computers. This allows them to place the implants with precision. The doctors are trained and licensed to administer general anesthesia in their offices, which helps make any surgical procedure a comfortable and painless experience.

All three doctors are board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons with extensive training in implants and other conditions of the jaws and face. Their expertise also includes removing wisdom teeth, facial trauma, jaw growth abnormalities, oral pathology and TMJ disorders. Consultations allow patients to meet their surgeon, be examined and have their procedure fully explained. Ample time is provided so all questions are answered. Their offices offer warm, comfortable settings and their top-notch professional business staff assist patients with everything from scheduling to insurance.

Dr. Walzer received his dental degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis. He completed a one-year residency at the Albany Medical Center Hospital and received his surgical training in oral maxillofacial surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Walzer volunteers his time to treat patients in need at the Stanton Center, a free dental clinic in Annapolis which serves poor and underprivileged adults. He has also participated for the last 20 years with a dental team in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

Dr. Sullivan received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, followed by an internship year at the University of Pennsylvania and his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Pittsburgh’s Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Sullivan is a clinical instructor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Hospital, where he teaches new implant techniques to residents-in-training. Dr. Sullivan founded the Stanton Center Free Dental Clinic where he volunteers his oral surgery skills.

Dr. Hlousek, a native of the Czech Republic, received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Dr. Hlousek completed his oral surgery training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, receiving both his oral surgery certificate and his M.D. degree. This was followed by a year of training in general surgery to gain additional experience in the areas of cosmetic surgery and trauma. Dr. Hlousek is a clinical instructor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of the Maryland Hospital.
