Community Foundation of Harford County

Dear Harford County friends and neighbors:

This year, the Community Foundation of Harford County touched hundreds of lives in very different ways. Donations and endowment funds helped to:

• Support a residential leadership academy for at-risk youth in Edgewood.
• Award scholarship support for graduate studies to a promising Fallston viola player.
• Purchase a 5,000-watt generator for home building projects that benefit low-income families in various neighborhoods in Harford County.
• Pay for urinalysis kits that help recovering women stay on course in Bel Air’s Homecoming Project.
• Establish a digital photography program for youth ages 6 -18 in Edgewood.

A community foundation can help sustain these vastly different projects because of its unique structure. We build and manage endowments and gifts, both large and small, in a permanent and substantial fund. We then assist local non-profit agencies to maintain existing programs or to establish new and innovative ones.

The Community Foundation of Harford County was established in 2006 by a group of Harford County leaders who wanted to encourage philanthropy. When you give to the Community Foundation of Harford County, you are supporting important local causes for today and forever into the future.

Our donors are people of all means who want to contribute to causes that are personal and important to them. No matter the size of the donation, we give donors choices and make giving simple.
