When it comes to the environment, ORGANICS
Unlimited, Inc. is out to make a difference.
This 19-year-old irrigation-lighting management and
consulting firm is on a mission to preserve the
environment and save its customers investment in
the process.
OUInc’s state-of-the-art technology allows it to provide customized solutions for every site imaginable. The company’s dedication to using the most viable environmentally sound solutions places the OUInc team among the most sought after irrigation and lighting management specialists in the area.
G. Scott Robinson, founder of OUInc, has made a mission out of preserving the environment while providing economical irrigation and lighting choices for his clients. “We want to create a stewardship to help conserve water and preserve our environment,” says Mr. Robinson. “Most people have no idea such valuable commodities are being abused.”
According to OUInc, eight out of 10 irrigation systems mismanage water usage by upwards of 30 percent a year, creating an unprecedented amount of wasted funds as well as damage to the environment. OUInc is concerned about this impact on the Chesapeake Bay and the environment as well as about protecting the investments of its clients. As such, OUInc offers the most technologically advanced auditing equipment and techniques available, including ET controls, soil moisture sensing and flow monitoring systems that together contribute to the self-regulation of water, which equates to conservation. OUInc participates in the practices of the Irrigation Association and the Green Building Institute’s LEED program.
In addition, low voltage lighting systems use 30 percent less electricity than conventional line voltage systems. Armed with the proper controls and a proactive approach, additional savings of 20 percent have been documented for mixed use systems of low and line voltage. With today’s soaring utility rates, savings add up quickly.
Relying on 50 years of combined industry experience, OUInc also protects its clients’ investments through its understanding that every property is different, requiring individualized solutions.
“OUInc's technicians have years of experience with the company and in the work they do,” explains Mr. Robinson. “We consider ourselves the Ph.D.s of irrigation and lighting management.”
A vast knowledge of agronomy & horticulture blended with vision & the ability to apply cost effective solutions are the driving force that separates the OUInc team from similar firms. Although OUInc’s clients run the gamut from half-acre properties to several-hundred-acre parks and estates, the company is determined to only accept projects in line with its philosophy of conservation and environmental preservation.
An excellent reputation and word-of-mouth referrals have catapulted OUInc into a successful corporation without conventional marketing campaigns. Another OUInc point of pride: The company’s dedication to responsive customer service. “Someone is available 24/7 to help resolve emergencies,” notes Mr. Robinson. “There’s no waiting for weeks for a scheduled service date. If a customer calls with an emergency, we’re there.”
Perhaps most importantly, the team at OUInc is passionate about what they do. “We enjoy the environment,” says Mr. Robinson, “and we treat the properties we work on as if they’re our own.”
